Clinical Education Specialist

Think Research is looking for a passionate Clinical Education Specialist to work with clinicians, administrative, managerial and research staff to deliver effective and up-to-date clinical content through training and education support for a variety of clinical applications and tools. The ideal candidate will leverage their clinical experience within the Long-Term Care sector to develop and implement training programs including the maintenance of all course documentation.

The kind of work you’ll be doing:

  • Development and implementation of training and education strategy for clients
  • Development of content and material relevant to program needs (manuals, design in class training, at the elbow cheat sheets, video webinars, demo scripts, etc.)
  • Drive internal and external processes relevant to training and education
  • Lead/host onsite corporate/regional training sessions/workshops
  • Training onboarding for clients
  • Creation of needs assessment with organization to identify gaps in knowledge in new content
  • Stay up to date on market trends and sensitivities
  • Development of clinical content within EMR systems

Ideal Qualifications

  • You are a Registered Nurse or Pharmacist
  • You have 3 - 5 years' experience within the Long Term Care sector, gerontology or elder care 
  • You have minimum 3 years experience in a healthcare setting
  • You have thorough knowledge and understanding of Point Click Care
  • You have proven research experience, and participate in policy committees (or equivalent)
  • You have excellent written and oral communication skills; presentation skills a strong asset
  • You enjoy interacting directly with clients
  • You enjoy finding novel solutions to unique problems
  • You have outstanding attention to detail
  • You enjoy working in a fun, fast-paced team environment while maintaining a professional relationship with our clients.

Skills that would be considered an asset 

  • Experience with change management
  • Experience working in or with long term care
  • Previous experience managing projects
  • Fluency with Microsoft Office and Google applications
