Cyber Security and Network Analyst

The kinds of things you'd be doing:

  • Review security devices and react to any events on firewall, IDS, IPS, etc.
  • Monitor and support the network and security infrastructure, including firewall policy configuration and perform initial troubleshooting for any issues.
  • Maintain operational security posture through incident management and responsiveness, vulnerability management and assessment, patch management, access provisioning, upgrade planning, and regular log reviews.
  • Execute regular internal vulnerability scans and work with internal stakeholders
  • Participate in audits and assessments and provide support, as appropriate
  • Analyze established operational security controls and procedures and recommend improvements
  • Evaluate appropriate tools for supporting the network / security operations function
  • Following Change Management process when implementing changes
  • Document Standard Operating Procedures and Method of Procedures
  • Build knowledge of and stay current on developments in the cyber threat landscape
  • Perform technical support as required, on 24x7 on-call rotation

Ideal Experience and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, mathematics, physical sciences or engineering fields or equivalent experience/certification
  • Windows and Linux/UNIX administration experience
  • Solid understanding of network protocols and concepts (I.E, TCP/IP stack, VLANS, subnetting, VPNs, OSPF)
  • Working understanding of cryptography
  • Must have experience working with Fortinet and Juniper devices.
  • Experience working with PaaS / IaaS environments
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Nice to haves:

  • Knowledge of hardware security modules, single-sign on, and identity management an asset
  • Experience with penetration testing
  • Nice to have Network+, Security+, CCNA, CEH, CISSP
