Working closely with the Talent and Operations Manager, IT our Junior Recruiter will focus on growing and supporting our internal teams by finding the very best talent. Always guided by our core values, the ideal candidate knows and embodies that a great company is defined by its people and culture.  

Core Duties and Responsibilities

Full cycle recruitment support focusing on the IT Department including:

  • Generating and maintaining a strong pipeline of qualified IT talent
  • Engaging in proactive recruitment strategies
  • Drive external internal and external recruitment events in collaboration with our Talent and Operations Manager, IT and our Culture Coordinator to attract top talent (hackathons, meetups, etc.) 
  • Drafting and publishing job postings
  • Conducting resume and phone screens
  • Scheduling interviews and follow ups with candidates
  • Checking references
  • Working with the team in all facets of recruitment to improve the hiring and interview process, and managing internal communications of upcoming positions
  • Full immersion into the understanding of the roles, requirements, pipeline, and growth plans of the assigned internal team(s)
  • Handling candidate and internal communications with a high level of professionalism and discretion
  • Promoting and embodying our culture of collaboration, openness, family-like feel and individual/team growth
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • 4 year University Degree from an accredited University; courses related to Human Resources Management are a plus, or background in IT-related field
  • 1+ Years experience in a high volume recruiting role (in-house or small agency) ideally in an IT related field is preferred
  • You are highly engaged and passionate about the work you execute, always aiming to be the best at your craft!
  • Not bound to the standard 9-5 
  • Able to multitask and work in a fast paced environment with a sense of urgency when completing deadlines
  • Experience or familiar with recruiting tools such as LinkedIn Recruiter, Angel.co, Greenhouse, Github, Dribble, Boolean
  • Creative and proactive with effectively developing passive recruitment strategies
  • Very well developed EQ – you will be the first contact for potential candidates
  • Highly social – your snap stories are so long and amazing that they could be nominated for an Oscar
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities
  • Strong team oriented working style
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • High level understanding of technical terms is an asset: programming languages, tools, etc.
  • Has a genuine interest in Tech and is an active participant in the IT community
