Clinical Operations Specialist

Reporting to the Director of Clinical Research and Development, the Clinical Operations Specialist is responsible for coordinating the production of the research & development team by identifying resource gaps and collaborating to build/revamp infrastructure that ensures the team is operating as efficiently as possible.  Responsibilities for this role have been developed to align with the strategic direction of the Clinical R&D Team.

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Determine infrastructure needs in collaboration with leadership and colleagues; implement strong team processes to improve efficiency and add logic to existing workflows.
  • Augment existing processes to ensure a robust, repeatable process for all projects that will enhance overall productivity
  • Continue to support and improve on existing workload measurement processes
  • Work with clients to develop and test new kinds of knowledge translation tools for clinicians across the continuum of care.
  • Collaboratively plan and coordinate the development and implementation of special projects and collaborative workshops
  • Coordinate and organize special projects to ensure timely development of assigned products; including collaboration with internal teams and external subject matter experts[1] [2] .
  • Develop strong understanding of available resources to assist with project scoping and setting realistic deliverables for the team
  • Continue to support existing project logistics for Think Research’s portfolio of clients as well as special projects
  • Work collaboratively with technology teams to support development of new tools and structures that will enhance product development within both teams.
  • Enhance communication between teams with the goal of improving clinical user experience
  • Provide ongoing support to team production from a research perspective by collecting and analyzing data to inform capacity building and planning, coordinating, and delegating to the extent possible to achieve efficient fact-finding and research for products.

What You Can Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a health related field
  • Experience with project coordination work and project tracking tools; experience with JIRA would be considered an asset
  • Proven ability to manage multiple competing projects and priorities
  • Excellent written and verbal  communication skills
  • Comfortable working in a collaborative team environment
  • Highly organized and self-directed
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
