Sales Specialist

The Sales Specialist/ Engineer is responsible for building trusted relationships with customers based on their solution expertise and helping customers realize platform value. The role adds value to Think Research by delivering a well-managed, profitable and growing SaaS based business produced through product value expertise and a relationship where the Business Development team views the Sales Specialist/ Engineer as a trusted expert.

What will you be doing?

  • Demonstrate comprehensive expertise with respect to our products offerings, capabilities and value to customers
  • Demonstrates Think Research solutions, based on multiple products, to customers
  • Support sales engagement by providing solution-oriented approach to product development
  • Provide relevant market and sales technical insight to product groups
  • Monitor and respond to internal technical community posts
  • Identify and facilitate training of new partners that can help to scale our solution and platform
  • Initiate, implement and coordinate new and existing business development initiatives in collaboration with team members
  • Monitor the execution of business development activity, and give suggestions for improvement
  • Assist in the implementation and utilization of enabling technologies and processes
  • Actively participate in planning, forecasting and documentation of sales activities
  • Assist in the sourcing, development and optimization of all Business Development material, including: RFPs, proposals, presentations and marketing material/ events


  • 5-8 years of complex sales experience
  • 5+ years of experience using a value-based approach selling to customers in SaaS or healthcare
  • Thorough understanding of Canadian and/or U.S. healthcare environments
  • Demonstrated ability to perform in a high-growth environment
  • History of relationship building and value-based sales approaches
  • University Degree from an accredited institution, MBA preferred
  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Strong computer skills (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
  • Working knowledge of rocket science
  • Ability to thrive under pressure
