Clinical Long Term Care Specialist

The kind of work you’ll be doing

Clinical Implementation tasks include:

  • Supporting our clients (long term care homes, health care regions) in customizing order sets, clinical protocols, and decision support tools for local workflows, resources, and quality standards
  • Prioritizing work and managing timelines to meet implementation requirements
  • Helping facilitate client discussion towards consensus on clinical standards and workflow
  • Working collaboratively with the Client Success Team to achieve deliverables

Quality assurance tasks include:

  • Ensuring that Order Sets are clinically correct and reflective of current practices
  • Ensuring that all Order Set requests from our clients are captured and adapted appropriately
  • Ensuring that ISMP standards are incorporated into  practices
  • Identifying safety concerns and facilitating resolutions with other team members
  • Providing clinical guidance and advice to ensure our client's Order Sets are safe, accurate and clear
  • Maintaining clear documentation of Order Set development work and communications with clients

Ideal Qualifications

  • You are a registered nurse, nurse practitioner, pharmacist or medical doctor, in good standing with your regulating body
  • You have 3 - 5 years' experience working in or with long term care
  • You are knowledgeable in Order Set content, layout and organization
  • You have minimum 3 years experience in a healthcare setting
  • You have proven research experience, and participate in policy committees (or equivalent)
  • You have excellent written and oral communication skills
  • You enjoy interacting directly with clients
  • You enjoy finding novel solutions to unique problems
  • You have outstanding attention to detail
  • You enjoy working in a fun, fast-paced team environment while maintaining a professional relationship with our clients.

Skills that would be considered an asset 

  • Experience with change management
  • Previous experience managing projects
  • Fluency with Microsoft Office and Google applications
  • Bilingual in English and French
